Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.----The Cedar Crest College volleyball team swept Penn State Worthington-Scranton 3-0 with scores of 25-18, 25-13 and 25-20 in their first time playing in Lees Gymnasium this fall.
"I am proud of the girls today to finish the weekend with a sweep for their first game at home," stated Head Coach
Shelby Morgan. "It was a great way to end our weekend and hopefully with this motivation we can use it for our next game."
Junior opposite hitter
Maggie Olock and senior outside hitter
Ericka Clayton led the team offensively with seven kills apiece.
Olock added one assist and seven digs as
Clayton added one assist, a team-high of six service aces and eight digs. Sophomore outside hitter
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) had four kills, one assist, four service aces and one dig.
Junior setter
Celina Danish (Allentown, PA/Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts) paced the Falcons with 19 assists, contributing 3 kills, one service ace and four digs. Sophomore defensive specialist
Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley) added two kills, one service ace and a team-high of 10 digs. Senior defensive specialist
LaShawndalese Johnson (Baltimore, MD/Edmondson-Westside) had three kills and one dig while senior
Kimlynn Tran () added one kill, three assists, five service aces and five digs as sophomore opposite hitter
Kaitlynn Keen (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks) added one kill.
The Cedar Crest volleyball team heads to Clarks Summit, Pa. for its next match against Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Summit University of Pennsylvania on Monday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m.
