Box Score READING, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College field hockey team traveled to Shirk Stadium to face Albright College who competes in the MAC Commonwealth conference as the Falcons fell 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
"We are so proud of the way that the girls played today fighting until the very end," commented Head Coach
Kellina Yarrish. "By far this has been our toughest competition this season. This game will help us move forward to see what we need to work on to be ready for conference play."
The Lions, who have been an offense team to reckon with as they have out shot each of their opponent was held off by the Falcons until the 15
th minute of play, as they only allowed two goals in the first half. Freshmen goalkeeper
Emma Ryan (Sterling, Va./Park View) proved to fixture in the back as she stopped 22 of the 32 shots in the first half, while the team was able to block three of those shots. In the second half,
Ryan who have another impressive half as she was able to save 14 more shots for a total of 36 saves in the game for the Black and Yellow with fellow teammates blocking four shots.
The next match for the Falcons is on Saturday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m. as they travel to open their Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule at Marywood University.
