ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Volleyball team won their first-ever Colonial States Athletic Conference Playoff match this evening, defeating Clarks Summit University 3-2 in a high-intensity 5-set match.

The Falcons advance to the Semifinals of the CSAC Playoff with the win, improving their overall record to 18-7 and CSAC record to 7-2.

Totals from tonight's match go as follows: 48 kills, 91 digs, 42 assists, 10 service aces and seven blocks. Tonight took a team-effort, having a different Falcon leading in each statistical category. Junior
Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) lead the team with 12 kills, followed by sophomore
Lindsey Davis (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) with 10. Sophomore
Kailey Elrod (Annville, Pa./Palmyra Area) turned in a team-high three service aces while freshmen setters
Talia Watson (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and
Madison Flatt (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) both ended the contest in double-digits in assists.
Watson had 21 assists with
Flatt contributing 13 assists.

Sophomore
Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) turned in 24 digs that he
lped her break the previous school-record for Digs in a Season. Also ending the game in double-figures in digs were
Davis with 18,
Elrod with 17 and
Flatt adding 11 digs.

With this win, Cedar Crest will move on to the next round of the CSAC Playoffs. The Falcons with travel to Keystone College on Thursday, November 1 for a 7:00 PM start time. Links to live stats and stream will be made available prior to the match.
