DOYLESTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest Volleyball team rebounds from recent loss to defeat Delaware Valley University in straight sets, 3-0, on Thursday evening at Work Gymnasium.
The Falcons, now 6-2 this season, would take all three sets versus the Aggies: 25-15, 25-20 and 25-14. The Black and Yellow would combine for 29 total kills, 58 digs, 28 assists and nine service aces in the win.
Sophomore
Lindsey Davis (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) would lead the Falcons with 18 digs and eight kills to end the match. Also in double figures this evening was freshmen
Talia Watson (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) with 11 assists and
Madison Flatt (Reinholds, Pa./Cocauco), who added 10. Sophomore
Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) also contributed 14 digs to close out double-figure Falcons. Earning three blocks and seven kills in the match was junior
Nicole Hill (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) while Flatt and sophomore
Kailey Elrod (Annville, Pa./Palmyra Area) each added one block.
Elrod also earned six kills three service aces.
Cedar Crest will return to action on Saturday, September 22, when the Falcons' travel to Wayne, New Jersey to compete in a tri-match versus host William Paterson University at 11:00 AM and then John Jay College at 1:00 PM.
