ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest Volleyball team blanked the Wilson Phoenix 3-0 to earn their first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory of the 2018 season on Wednesday evening.

"It was great to start our conference play and even better to start off with a win," commented Head Coach Shelby Morgan.

The Falcons are now 8-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play after tonight's win. The scores of each set ended as follows: 25-23, 25-5 and 25-21. Cedar Crest combined for 31 kills, 26 assists, 63 digs and 11 services aces.

Freshman Talia Watson (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) recorded 10 assists in the match while freshman Madison Flatt (Reinholds, Pa./Cocauco) also contributed nine assists to help the Falcons to victory.

Three Falcons were in double-figures in digs, led by sophomore Tiffany Hoppes (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) with 21, followed by sophomore Devyn Crowder (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) adding 11 and Davis rounding out the leaders with 10 digs. Hoppes also contributed three service aces with Crowder and Hill each adding two.

"We were pleased with their effort, but we look to further improve as we get to the meat of our conference schedule," concluded Morgan.
