Lacrosse suffers CSAC loss to Notre Dame

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Lacrosse program was handed a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) loss by Notre Dame of Maryland University, 1-25, on Tuesday evening for the final home contest on the FalconPlex. The Falcons fall to 2-9 overall and 2-6 in conference play after the defeat.

The Black and Yellow scored their lone goal of the contest with just over five minutes remaining in the second half. Netting that goal was freshman Elizabeth Fennimore (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus), who was assisted by junior Stephanie Barr. Fennimore scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season with that shot and gave Barr her first assist of the season.

The Falcons would take seven shots, five that were on the goalie, and scoring once. Cedar Crest would convert 6-of-8 clears in the contest to go with eight ground balls and four draw controls.

Sophomore Allison Churchill (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) started and played all 60:00 minutes in goal, making eight saves out of the 33 shots on goal. Churchill's record drops to 2-9 on the year.

The Falcons are back in action on Thursday, April 18 when they travel to Rosemont College for their second night game of the week. This CSAC contest is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM at the Ravens Athletic Complex.
