ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College Lacrosse Program earned a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory by defeating Rosemont College, 10-5, on Saturday evening. The Falcons improve to 2-6 overall and 2-3 in CSAC action.

The Black and Yellow found themselves down 0-1 over a minute into the contest, but then three different Falcons scored goals, giving Cedar Crest a 3-1 lead after seven minutes of play. The Ravens answered with a goal of their own, but not before two more Falcons got shots past the Rosemont goalie, putting the score at 5-2. Rosemont would score once more before the end of the first half, going into the locker room with Cedar Crest up 5-3. In the second half, it took almost five minutes before the first goal was scored by a Raven to cut the lead to one, 5-4. Cedar Crest would net two goals to extend the lead to 7-4 before Rosemont would score their fifth and final goal of the game with over 12 minutes remaining. The Black and Yellow would score three unanswered goals to end the contest, putting the final score at 10-5 to seal the victory.

Six different Falcons found the back of the net, with four of them scoring two goals each. Leading the team in points was
Elizabeth Fennimore (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus), who scored twice and also contributed three assists for the Black and Yellow.
Fennimore also picked up seven ground balls and earned one draw control.
Sydney Heathcott (Newburgh, Ind./Castle High) was next in the points category, having two assists and scoring a goal.
Heathcott also led the squad with six draw controls and picked up two ground balls.
Elysia Slatery (Melbourne, Fl./Eau Gallie), Stephanie Barr and
Theresa Neumann (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neill) each scored two goals for two points apiece for Cedar Crest. Also earning two points in the game was
Madyson Lagano (Elkton, Md./North East), who netted a goal and was credited with an assist.
Lagano also led the team in ground balls with eight.

Starting and playing all 60:00 minutes in goal for the Falcons was
Allison Churchill (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford), who recorded seven saves on the 12 shots on goal.
Churchill earns the victory putting her record the same as the team's, 2-6.

Cedar Crest picked up a total of 48 ground balls, eight draw controls and achieved 17-out-of-22 clearing attempts in the victory. The Falcons attempted 24 shots, with 17 going on the goalie, and were successful with 10 goals.

The Falcons will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10 when they host Keystone College for a CSAC contest. First-whistle is scheduled for 7:00 PM for a game under the lights at the FalconPlex.
