ASTON, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team dropped a 14-3 decision to Neumann University in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.
Two Falcons scored a goal in the contest, with freshman
Maddie Graham (Clayton, Del./Smyrna) finishing with two while sophomore
Emily Schoelier (Newton, N.J./Sussex County Technical) added one. Sophomore
Mira Carver (Lebanon, N.J./North Hunterdon) and Kaleigh Woomer split time in goal, each playing a half. Carver made three saves while Woomer registered four stops.
Senior Reilly Fiedler (Malvern, Pa.) paced Neumann with a hat trick while sophomore Maggie Blemings (Drexel Hill, Pa.), senior Brylin Adams (Dunkirk, Md.), and freshman Bekah Brosky (Macungie, Pa.) added two goals apiece.
The Knights outscored the Falcons 6-1 in the opening quarter and led 9-3 at the half.
Neumann kept Cedar Crest off the scoreboard in the second half, tallying four goals in the third and one in the fourth for the 13-4 final.
Cedar Crest (1-3 overall) will open conference play with its next contest at Wilson College on Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m.
