DANBURY, Conn. – Sophomore Caylie Long (Powder Springs, Ga./Hillgrove) of the Cedar Crest College basketball team was named to the All-ECAC Second Team, as announced on Thursday.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC also hosts a comprehensive esports program that presently involves 160 schools fielding 1100 teams across 14 different esports games, streamed live four nights a week. The ECAC's esports platform has and continues to expand the geographic footprint of the Conference nationally.

Long, a First Team All-Conference selection by the United East Conference, played in and started 19 games for the Falcons and averaged 18 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3.2 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. She collected 342 points, 154 rebounds, 60 assists, 60 steals, and 16 blocks this season.

Long ranked second in the United East Conference in scoring at 18 points per game, third in field goal percentage at 50.6 percent, and tied for second in steals per game with 3.2. She scored in double figures every game she played this season and finished the year with four double-doubles.

Long was named as the United East Conference Defensive Player of the Week back on January 6 after pacing the Falcons with 17 points on 6-for-16 shooting and grabbing a career-high 19 rebounds in a 64-52 victory over Valley Forge on January 4.

Long and Cedar Crest concluded the season with an 8-12 overall record (6-10 United East). The Falcons qualified for the United East Conference Tournament as the No. 12 seed and were defeated by Bryn Athyn College in the First Round.
