LATHAM, N.Y. – The Cedar Crest College lacrosse duo of senior
Kylah Demarest (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) and first-year
Audra Leiter (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) were honored by the United East Conference in the release of its weekly awards on Monday afternoon. The pair helped the Falcons to a 1-1 week.
Demarest is the Offensive Player of the Week after tallying 11 points in two games. She had one goal, one ground ball, and three draw controls in a loss to Immaculata and then rounded out the regular season with 10 points on eight goals and two assists in a 19-5 win over NDMU to go along with two ground balls, one caused turnover, and one draw control.
Leiter is the Defensive Player of the Week after collecting nine ground balls, six caused turnovers, one draw control, three goals, and one assist in a pair of games.
Demarest, Leiter, and Cedar Crest (9-7 overall, 1-2 United East) has claimed the No. 3 seed for the upcoming United East Conference Championship Tournament and will travel to second-seeded Wilson College for the Divisional Semifinals on Wednesday, April 22.
