Falcons End Season on an 8-1 Win

Allentown, PA - Cedar Crest ended the tennis season on an up note with an 8-1 victory over non-conference Rutgers Camden for the Falcons' second consecutive victory.

Cedar Crest notched doubles wins at No. 1 with seniors Brianna Pacheco (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) and Kenzie Bickhart (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove Area) (8-3) and at No. 2 with juniors Jenny Clay (Kempton, PA/Kutztown Area) and Cassandra Bejar (Allentown, PA/William Allen) (8-2). The singles wins came at No. 1 with Pacheco, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 with Bejar, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 3 with Clay, 2-6, 6-4, 10-4, and at No. 5 with Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math), 6-0, 6-1. Defaults by Rutgers Camden at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles led to the 8-1 score.

Cedar Crest ends their season 2-14 overall and 1-9 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Rutgers Camden drops to 0-11 and 0-6 in the NJAC.
