Gwynedd Valley, PA - Cedar Crest traveled to tennis heavyweight Gwynedd-Mercy College on Thursday for a previously rained-out match against the CSAC opponent, but the final outcome was a dark cloud this time too.

The Falcons were shut out against the Griffins for a 9-0 final score. Only Jenny Clay (Kempton, PA/Kutztown Area) at number 3 singles came close to a win, losing 3-6 in the first but at least forcing a 4-7 tiebreaker in the second. Other than that, it was slim pickings for Cedar Crest.

The Falcons drop to 3-5 with the loss and 3-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Gwynedd-Mercy improves to 8-1 and is 6-0 in the Conference. Next up, the Falcons travel to Baltimore on Saturday, September 29th, for a two-day tournament at Goucher.
