Cedar Crest College dropped a double header to CSAC rival Neumann University on Friday.

Freshman Paige VanderMeer would pitch game 1 and would give up all the runs and hits.  She would also strike out two while walking eight.

On the offensive side Jeniffer Hallowell (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) and Tammy Touhsaent (Mertztown, PA/Kutztown Area) both finished with a hit a piece, with Touhsaent providing the only extra base hit for the Falcons.

Game 2 would feature more of the same for Neumann and Cedar Crest.  The Falcons would send veteran pitcher Natalia Dial (Kannapolis, PA/Jesse C. Carson) to the mound.  Dial like VanderMeer in game 1 would be responsible for all the hits and runs allowed in game 2.

The Falcons did manage to get on the board with a run in the fourth off a Dial single that would plate Jeniffer Hallowell (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh).  Laura Swanhall (Cobleskill, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) would finish 1 for 2 with Hallowell and Dial providing the other two hits in this contest.  The Falcons now fall to 0-5 overall and 0-5 in the conference.  The Falcons will turn right around for a double header against Rosemont scheduled to start on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
