Allentown, PA

Cedar Crest College hosted Rosemont College in CSAC action this afternoon.

The first half would go the way of the Ravens as they would outscore the Falcons 4-3.  In the first half Erin Studer (Kent, CT/Housatonic Valley Regional) would strike first for the Falcons with a goal at 13:59 to tie the game at one a piece.  The Ravens would turn right around and take a 2-1 goal advantage with a Brittany Fuller unassisted goal at 12:35.  Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would once again tie the game for the Falcons with her first of the game at 8:33.  The Ravens would then take a two shot lead with goals by both Gina Ragona and Kerry Hars, but right before the halftime buzzer, Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would sneak one by the Ravens defense with a last second goal to bring the Falcons total to three for the half.

The Falcons would use that momentum into the second half with both Leia Epstein (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth-Whitemarsh) and Samite scoring within 13 seconds of each other as the Falcons would take their first lead.  The Ravens would draw even again with another Lombardo goal.

Junior Erin STuder would then get a feed from Samite and blast one in as the Falcons would take their second lead of the game, but the Ravens would be hot on their trail with a Kristy Evans goal at 16:49.

Then would begin the Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) show, as she would put two in the net, just three minutes apart.  Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) would also get a goal thanks in large part to DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy)'s assist as the Falcons would put this one on ice.

For the game, DeJanet Lantion (Silver Spring, MD/John F. Kennedy) finished with seven ground balls, three draw controls and one assist.  Overall it was a team effort for the Falcons, a season high 38 groundballs, and nine draw controls.

In the net Kim Katsigianis (Amherst, NH/Souhegan) finished with 15 goals and played the whole game.
