Looking to build on their previous win, the Falcons ran into a hot Neumann lacrosse team.
Coming off a 9-7 win over Rosemont, Cedar Crest used their fast paced offense to continue to improve their stats as the season nears the end.
Neumann University opened up the first half with a big lead taking a 15-0 score into half time, the Falcons would shut down Neumann in the second half, allowing just 5 goals and scoring one themselves. That one goal would be placed by
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr), her sixth of the season.
Other standouts for the Falcons,
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) continued to impress with seven groundballs, while
Jen Harbison (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg) finished with five and
Cassandra Bejar (Allentown, PA/William Allen) and
Leia Epstein (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth-Whitemarsh) both finished with four.
The Falcons also finished with seven draw controls with Rodenberger finishing with three and Wehry grabbing two as well.
In the goal Nicole A. Rivera would sub for senior
Kim Katsigianis (Amherst, NH/Souhegan) and finish with three saves in 35 minutes of play.
The Falcons fall to 1-11 overall and 1-7 in the CSAC and will wrap up their season on Thursday at home against Bryn Mawr, it will also be senior night as game time is set for 4:00 PM.
