Playing their second conference match in two days, the Cedar Crest Falcons traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to take on Notre Dame in a CSAC tennis match.
The Falcons would sweep doubles competition as
Amy Frey (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) and Jaime Wojiechowski would take the #1 doubles 8-3. Â
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) and
Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would win the #2 doubles 9-7, and
Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) and
Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) would wrap up doubles competition with a 8-6 win the the #3 doubles.
In singles comeptition, Frey and Wojiechowski would cruise through the #1 and #2 singles Frey winning 6-4, 6-2 and Wojiechowski winning 6-1, 6-0. Â Freshman
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would keep the wins comming for the Falcons as she would win every match winning the #3 singles 6-0, 6-0.  In the #4 singles
Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) would first drop set one 6-3, and then drop set two 6-4. Â But
Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would bring the Falcons back easily winning the #5 singles 6-0, 6-0. Â
Maria Vincent (Georgetown, DE/Sussex Central) playing in her second singles match all season would play the #6 singles and win set one 6-3 but then drop the last two sets 6-3 and 10-5. Â
The Falcons improve to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the conference and will travel to Eastern University on Monday for a 3:30 pm match up in St. David's PA.
