Allentown, PA –
On day two of the Cedar Crest Soccer Tournament, the Falcons were finally able to secure their first win for the season in their consolation match-up against St.Josephs College – Brooklyn. This is the first win for Head Coach Sarah Wolcott and Assitant Gabriella Lopez.
The breakthrough win was also a coming-out party of sorts for freshmen Alexis Baxter (Clifton Springs, NY/Phelps-Clifton Springs) and Kimberly Incontrera who both made the score sheet with a goal a piece. The other goal was awarded to second-time scorer for the weekend, Karlee Hantz (Cherryville, PA/Northampton).
Much like the Falcons previous game, they dominated offensively in the first and second half as shots were being fired continuously thanks to the many great opportunities from last years top goal scorer Courtney Long (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) , and midfield freshman Allison Rittle (Fredericksburg, PA/Northern Lebanon).
With the win, the Falcons improve to 1-2 overall and 0-0 in CSAC. Cedar crest will look to continue their winning ways on the road against Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA on Wednesday September 11that 4pm.
