Even with great communication amongst the team to compensate the strong winds, the Cedar Crest Lacrosse Team dropped a 19-2 non-conference match up against the Colonels of Wilkes University at home on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Nicole Rivera (Bronx, NY/Eximius High School) looked strong in the first few minutes of play, but was only able to save 7 of the Colonels 21 shots during the first 30 minutes. Sophomore Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would gain a draw control and held the possession on attack long enough for Amy Frey (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) to hit the net in the last 7 seconds of the first half. Frey's goal put the Falcons on the board for the half time score of 14-1. In the second half, Samite would score the final goal of the game off of a successful clear with 11:33 left in regulation play.

Rivera made 8 total saves and 3 successful ground ball pick-ups.

The Falcons will drop to 0-3 overall while the Colonels improve 7-0 overall. Up next, the Falcons will play their first conference game against the Neumann University Knights at home on Tuesday, March 25^th at 4:00pm.
