Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Cedar Crest College hosted the visiting Marywood Pacers in their home opener this Sunday.  The Falcons looking to turn their luck around, sent freshman Alexis Baxter (Clifton Springs, NY/Phelps-Clifton Springs) to the mound to take on one of the top conference batting teams.

Baxter would pitch a complete game while forcing nine fly outs and four ground outs.

On the offensive side of the field senior Shannon Wenner (Drums, PA/MMI Preparatory) continued her hot hitting raising her team leading batting average to .424.  Wenner now leads the team in hits, RBI's and home runs.  Tammy Touhsaent (Mertztown, PA/Kutztown Area) and Javara Troupe (Tampa, FL/Tampa Bay Tech) both collected hits for the Falcons.

The Falcons would fall to the Pacers 11-0 in game one.

In game two once again Baxter would start for the Falcons and go 4.1 innings, while forcing four flyouts and nine ground outs.  Kali Jones (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area HS) would finish off game two for the Falcons going 2/3 of an inning striking out one and forcing a ground out.

Offensively for the Falcons, seven Falcons would finish with a hit including Baxter who would finish 2 for 3.  Wenner once again led the Falcons scoring one run while Ciara Lane (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) and Kali Jones (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area HS) would bothing finish with one RBI a piece.

The Falcons now sit at 0-12 and will travel to St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Monday for a non-conference game.
