Box Score The Cedar Crest Lacrosse team played conference rivals Cabrini College today. The Falcons fell to the Cavaliers in a 2-17 decision.
The Falcons had a difficult time getting ahead as the attacking Cavaliers peppered the defense with numerous shots in the first half. Sophomore Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would record the first goal for the Falcons at 11:52 off of a turnover caused by Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area). The first half would end 1-14 in favor of the Cavaliers. Regina Gill (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley High School) would score the final goal off of a free position shot with 29 seconds left in regulation play.
Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School), Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr), and Amy Frey (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) each lead the Falcons in groundball pick ups with Wehry and Thompson tied with 3 caused turnovers each. Rodenberger, Wehry, and Frey each recorded 2 draw controls each.
The Falcons drop 0-2 in the CSAC and 0-7 overall while the Cavaliers improve 6-2 overall. Up next, the Falcons will travel to Immaculata University in a conference match up against the Mighty Macs on Staurday, April 5th. Game time 1:00pm.
