Radnor, PA

Continuing conference play, the Cedar Crest Falcons softball team took to the road to take on Colonial States Athletic Conference Cabrini College in Radnor, PA.

In game one, the Falcons offensive put a few hits together to push a run across in the fifth, as Kali Jones (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area HS) would ground out to 3B, scoring Shannon Wenner (Drums, PA/MMI Preparatory) from third.  Jones would finish with the Falcons lone RBI, while Wenner would be credited with the Falcons lone extra base hit, a double in the fifth.  Freshman Ciara Lane (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) would add the Falcons second hit of the day as she finished 1 for 2 in game one.

On the mound, Freshman Alexis Baxter (Clifton Springs, NY/Phelps-Clifton Springs) walked just three while forcing eight ground outs and six fly outs.

Game two for the Falcons saw Jones toe the rubber for the Falcons with Baxter coming in for relief.  The two would combine for seven fly outs and six ground outs.  Baxter would also finish with the Falcons lone hit in the second game while Wenner would find herself on base again with the Falcons lone walk.

The Falcons fall to 0-16 and 0-8 in the CSAC and will host the Defenders of Baptist Bible on Saturday April 5th at home.  Game time is set for 3:00 PM
