The Cedar Crest Lacrosse Team played the Pacers of Marywood University in their third CSAC game. The Pacers took a 5 goal advantage at the start of the first half before
Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would win the draw and head straight to the opposing cage. Rodenberger dodged through the Pacers defense to put a point up on the board in 12 seconds from center draw to goal cage. The Falcons recorded a new game high number of ground balls with 32 pick-ups this game.
Cedar Crest wouldn't score again until the second half when
Krysten Gillan (Maple Shade, NJ/Maple Shade H.S.) picked up a loose ball and sent it to
Nicole Rivera (Bronx, NY/Eximius High School) to clear up the field to the attacking side.
Amber Wehry (Klingerstown, PA/Tri-Valley Jr/Sr) was able to take the shot and score for the Falcons at 25:57 in the second half of play. Viviana Samite would score again for the Falcons at 22:36.
Cedar Crest dominated the draw over Marywood with Rodenberger taking 6 out of the 14 wins. Wehry would lead the Falcons with the most ground ball pick-ups and tie with
Kim Barry (Greentown, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) causing the most turnovers at 3 a piece.
The Falcons drop 0-3 in the CSAC and 0-9 overall while the Pacers improve 5-8 overall. Up next, the Falcons will travel to Camden, NJ for a non-conference match-up against Rutgers-Camden University on Thursday, April 10th. Game time is 4:00pm.
