Otoo, Cauble Win, Falcons Drop Close Match to Gryphons

Allentown, PA- The Cedar Crest Falcons dropped this weekend's play in a close matchup against Sarah Lawrence College.

The Falcons got the ball rolling in the doubles with duo Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) defeating the Gryphone 8-3,  Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) and Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would also find success in their doubles matchup as they battled to finish their game out 9-7. Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) and Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) would have a much more difficult game as they dropped their number 2 doubles 8-2.

In singles action, Jamie Wojcichowski fell in a nail biting three setter 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, at number 2 singles Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) fell 6-1,6-1. Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would give some life to the Falcons as she won her game 6-3,6-2. Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) and Sarah Babbie (Champlain, NY/Northeastern Clinton Central) would also have a hard time finding a win as they both lost 6-3,6-3 and 6-0,6-0 respectively. Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) would have to battle for her win as she finally took the game in the third set with the score of 6-2, 6-7, 7-5.

With the loss the Falcons' record now drops to a 2-4 overall, and 0-1 in CSAC play.
