Tennis Drops Tough Contest vs. Eastern

Results

The Cedar Crest Falcons fell today, to a very tough Eastern University team.

In doubles action; Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) and Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) competed at the number 1 spot, but would eventually fall 8-5. Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) and Olga Cauble (Concord, NH/Concord) would fall with an identical score at number 2 doubles 8-5. Number 3 doubles would be a much closer game as Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) and Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) battled hard but was unable to get the win, they would fall 8-6. 

In singles action, Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) fell at number 1 singles 6-2,6-1. Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would battle hard in her second set but it wouldn't be enough as she fell 6-1,6-4 . Sarah Babbie (Champlain, NY/Northeastern Clinton Central) would come up against some tough opposition as she fell 6-1,6-0. Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) was the only Falcon that won for the day as she battled to come up with a three set win at 3-6, 6-0, 10-4. Number 3 singles and number 5 singles were incomplete due to darkness.

With the loss, the Falcons drop to a record of 2-5 and 0-1 in CSAC play. They return to the court on Thursday 25th at 3pm against CSAC members Immaculata.
