Looking to put an end to their five match losing streak, the Cedar Crest College Tennis team took to the road for a Colonial States Athletic Conference showdown with Cairn University saturday night under the lights in Langhorne, PA.

In #1 SIngles, Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) would be the only Falcon to fall on the day, dropping 6-0, 6-1.  Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) would put her own losing streak to an end winning in #2 Singles 6-1, 6-1.  Rakia Otoo (Bronx, NY/Manhattan Center for Science & Math) would claim victory in #3 Singles winning in dominating fashion 6-1, 6-3 while Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) would win the #4 Singles 6-1, 6-2.  Freshmans Sarah Babbie (Champlain, NY/Northeastern Clinton Central) and Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) would run into a bit of trouble in the #5 and #6 singles, but Babbie would claim #5 winning in three sets 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 while Doran would win #6 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles action Bryk & Wojciechowski would down Cairn in the #1 Doubles winning 9-7.  In #2 doubles, the team of Cauble and Sisson would team up and keep the streak alive winning 8-5.  Lastly, the team of Otoo and Doran would sweep the #3 doubles winning 8-0 to close out the night for the Falcons.

The Falcons now sit at 3-5 overall and 1-1 in the CSAC and will host Immaculata on October 1st with the match scheduled to start at 3:30 PM.
