BALTIMORE, Md.---The Cedar Crest College tennis team won its third straight match ,6-3, as the team traveled to Baltimore, Maryland in Colonial States Athletic Conference match against Notre Dame of Maryland University.
The Falcons took to an early lead, sophomore
Taylor Doran and senior
Kyleen Sisson won second doubles with a score of 8-6. The freshman duo of
Stephanie Zuravnsky and
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) kept their winning streak going with a score of 8-3.
In singles action junior
Jamie Woiciechowki defeated her opponent in three sets 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 in the number one spot while in the number two spot
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) forced a tiebreaker but fell short.
Doran finished in a tight match but earned her win with scores of 7-5, 6-1.
Sisson defeated her Gator opponent with scores of 6-3, 6-3 as
Litonjua topped her competition 6-0, 6-2.
The tennis team hosts Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Gwynedd Mercy on Friday, October 16 at 3:30 p.m.
