ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College volleyball team defeated Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Centenary College in three sets by scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 25-20 on Wednesday evening.
"I am very excited for the girls tonight on the win against Centenary," commented Head Coach
Shelby Morgan. "They each contributed in their own way and showed great improvement from the beginning of the season. I am very thrilled to see how far we have come along. This game displayed many great moments on both sides of the ball. I am looking forward to continuing the improvement throughout the rest of the season. Molly has stepped up in the front row, and Maggie and Kaylee have really contributed defensively."
Senior outside hitter
Ericka Clayton (Zionsville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) led the team with team-highs of 10 kills, eight service aces and a tie for the team highs of 11 digs. Junior opposite hitter
Maggie Olock (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School) had seven kills, one assist, one service ace and six digs. Junior setter
Celina Danish (Allentown, PA/Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts) paced the Falcons with 15 assists, six kills, three service aces and five digs.
The sophomore duo, defensive specialist
Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley) and outside hitter
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) both tacked on two digs a piece offensively.
Martinez had 11 digs, one assist and one service ace while
Schnaubelt had five service aces and one dig. Senior defensive specialist
Kimlynn Tran () had five digs, one service ace, one kill and four assists.
The Falcons next match is Saturday, October, 17 at 11:00 a.m. against CSAC opponent Keystone College.
