ROSEMONT, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College Falcons swept Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent, the Ravens of Rosement, 9-0, on Friday night.
The Black and Gold took an early 3-0 lead as they took all three doubles points. Senior
Kyleen Sisson (Laceyville, PA/Elk Lake) and sophomore
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) picked up the first point for the Falcons as juniors
Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) secured their first win of the season with a score of 8-2 at the number one spot. Freshman
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and
Iman Traymon () followed their teammates winning 8-1 over the Ravens at the number three spot.
In the second singles spot,
Bryk finished her match with a double bagel, 6-0, 6-0.
Sisson secured another win in the fourth singles spot for the Falcons as she beat her opponent, 6-1, 6-0. First singles player,
Wojciechowski, dropped only two games in the sets finishing with a score of 6-2, 6-0. The number three, five and six players all played pro sets in order to determine the winner.
Traymon, number six, won 8-4.
Litonjua took her match in 8 straight games, 8-0.
Doran took hers with only dropping one game, 8-1.
The Falcons are set to take the court again on Friday, October 9 as they host Summit University of Pennsylvania with the match is set for 3:30 p.m.
