The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team took to the road in a CSAC contest at Marywood Wednesday evening.  Entering today's game the Falcons sat at 0-2 and 0-1 in the CSAC while Marywood entered 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC.

Entering today's game, Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) led the Falcons with six goals while Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would come in with five goals.  Other leaders for the Falcons entering the CSAC contest included sophomore Regina Gill (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley High School) who had three goals and Chelsea Thompson (Coatesville, PA/Collegium Charter School) who had one goal on the young season.

In the first half, the Falcons would fall behind quickly as the Pacers would take a 6-0 lead early in the first 30 minutes.  Over the next five minutes of play, Vivianna Samite (Oakridge, NJ/Jefferson Twp) would collect her sixth and seventh goals of the season and put the Falcons back within five goals at 7-2.  The Pacers would net three more goals to go up 10-2 before Emily Rodenberger (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen High School) would net two goals herself (both unassisted) to push the score to 11-4.  The Pacers would collect three more goals to send the teams into the locker room at the half with the Pacers on top 14-4.

The second half saw the Falcons defense step up and hold the Pacers to just four goals in the final 30 minutes.  Both Samite and Rodenberger would net one more goal a piece to finish the contest falling at Marywood 18-6.

Nicole Rivera (Bronx, NY/Eximius High School) would play all sixty minutes in goal and finish with 14 saves on the day.

The Falcons now sit at 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC and will travel to CSAC rival Cabrini on Saturday the 28th.  Game time is set for 1 pm.
