ALLENTOWN, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College tennis team took on Marywood University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference on Sunday afternoon as the Pacers took the match 7-2.
"Marywood is consistently in the top of the conference which always makes it a tough match," commented Head Coach
Lynn Pigliacampi. "We did well though, the scores did not reflect the play today for the girls, they really worked hard. We have another conference match against Immaculata coming up next and I'm looking forward to another hard fought match."
In doubles action freshman
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and
Stephanie Zuravnsky (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial High School) grabbed the only win in third doubles defeating their opponent, 9-7.In singles action junior
Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) won in first singles with scores of 6-3, 7-5. Junior
Emily Bryk (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) played a tight match forcing a tie breaker finishing with scores of 3-6, 6-7 (2-7) at second singles.
The tennis team plays again on Friday, September 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference Action.Â
