GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.--- The Cedar Crest College tennis team played in its final regular season conference match as they fell to Colonial States Athletic Conference number one, and undefeated team, 9-0, on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and freshman
Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) finished first as they fell 8-0 while senior
Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and junior
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) finished next dropping by a score of 8-1. Freshman
Yomari Salvador Rivera (Reading, Pa./Reading Sr.) who was partnered with sophomore
Kassaundra Blodgett (Keansburg, N.J./Keansburg) in third doubles stumbled by a score of 8-2.
Wojciechowski finished first in single dropped her match to her opponent 6-0,6-1, next to finish for the Falcons was
Litonjua who also fell by scores of 6-0,6-1.
Epsaro was defeated by scores of 6-0, 6-0, as
Doran finished after with a score of 6-2, 6-2 in favor of the home team.
Salvador Rivera would finish with scores of 6-1, 6-0 while
Blodgett rounded out the score of 6-0, 6-0.
The next match for the team is Saturday, October 15 at home with a 12:00 p.m. start time as the team celebrates Senior Day against non-conference Rutgers-Camden.
