ALLENTOWN, Pa—The Cedar Crest College Tennis Team honored their only senior in a close, 5-4 win over non-conference Rutgers Camden on Saturday afternoon to finish their season.
The Black and Yellow found their first point as the number two doubles team of Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and Alyssa Esparo defeated their opponent, 8-5. In singles action, Doran finished first at the number two spot securing another point for the Falcons with a 6-1, 6-1 win over her opponent. Esparo followed suit of her teammate securing another point after winning with a score of 6-4, 6-2. Yomari Salvador Rivera would also follow suit and tie things up for the Falcons with her 7-6 (7-4), 6-4, win over her opponent. After a long fought battle on the courts and a nail biting end on the day, Kassaundra Blodgett secured her match and helped the Falcons secure the win with her three set win over her opponent, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.
The Falcons finish the season with an 8-7 record and 5-5 in CSAC.
