ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College tennis team fell,9-0, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match to Immaculata University on Wednesday afternoon on their home courts.
Second doubles consisting of sophomore
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and freshman
Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) finished first falling by a score of 8-2. Senior
Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and junior
Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) fell 8-5 while freshman
Yomari Salvador Rivera (Reading, Pa./Reading Sr.) and sophomore
Kassaundra Blodgett (Keansburg, N.J./Keansburg) fell by a score of 8-1.
In singles,
Wojciechowski fell 6-3, 6-2 when
Lionjua finished shortly after dropping her match by scores of 6-2, 6-1.
Doran won her first set and forced a tie break but fell by scores of 7-5 (6-10), 6-3 and
Epsaro lost by scores 6-3, 6-3.
Salvador Rivera was defeated 6-1, 6-0 while
Blodgett dropped her match 8-0.
The next match for the Falcons is on Friday, October 7 at 3:30 in another Colonial States Athletic Conference match against Keystone College.
