ALLENTOWN, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College tennis team fell in a close 5-4 match to Colonial States Athletic Conference match to Notre Dame of Maryland University Saturday morning.

In double action both the one and two won their sets, senior Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and junior Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) defeated their opponent 8-1 while sophomore Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) defeated the visiting team 8-4.

Singles proved to be an extensive and tough battle, Wojciechowski and Litonjua both took their opponent in straight sets. Wojciechowski winning by scores of 6-2, 6-2 as Litonjua defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1. Doran had a tough set falling by scores of 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 while Epsaro lost by scores of 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 and sophomore Kassaundra Blodgett (Keansburg, N.J./Keansburg) who had the final match of the day fall by scores of 6-7, (5-7), 6-4,7-5.

The next match for Cedar Crest is on Friday, October 14 at 3:30 p.m. as the team travels to Gwynedd Mercy University.
