Box Score ASTON, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College softball team finished their most successful season to date in the Colonial States Athletic Conference semi-final tournament game falling 12-3 to the number one seed Neumann University on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, sophomore outfielder Lily Acosta (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty ) singled to left field. A sacrifice bunt by sophomore shortstop Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley) moved the runner and was called safe after a throwing error and she would later steal second. Sophomore catcher Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) singled with a bunt for the first run and later stole second. With runners in scoring position freshman pitcher Laura Rau (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) laid another perfectly placed bunt for the next run.

The Knights tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the second inning and took the lead in the 4-2 in the bottom of the third. Both teams were held scoreless in the fourth inning despite both teams having runners on.

In the top of the fifth, trailing 4-2, Martinez would reach first on a dropped fly and would later steal both second and third. A single to left field by Rau knocked in the final run of the game for the Falcons. The bottom of the sixth saw untimely errors and a deep double with bases loaded to allow Neumann to earn the win 12-3 as they went on to win the Championship.
