ASTON, Pa.: The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named 677 student-athletes to the
2015-16 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester(s) of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner
Adrienne Mullikin. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
The total of 677 student-athletes honored surpasses last year's winter/spring total by 104 student-athletes (573), as Cedar Crest had 15 spring athletes on the team. Six players from the lacrosee team including, senior defenders
Allyse Salandy (Easton, Pa./Easton Area ) and
Gabrielle Kennedy (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge), junior midfielder
Regina Gill (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley ), and freshman attacks
Alexandra Zoda (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. /Roy C Ketcham Senior ),
Shelby Szoke (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood ) and midfielder
Kassandra Miller (Fallington, Pa./Pensbury Senior ). Nine members of the softball team joined them on the list starting with juniors second basemen
Ciara Lane (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area), first basemen
Olivia Lopez (Brandywine, MD/Gwynn Park ) and catcher
Rachel Stump (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood). Joining them were sophomores outfielder
Jackie Gallagher (Fort Worth, TX/Keller Central ), pitcher
April Daly (Burlington, NJ/Holy Cross ) and catcher/first basemen
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City). Rounding out the team is three freshman designate player
Nicole Ortiz-Siffel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh), third basemen
Aimee Sarboukh (Somerset, N.J./Bound Brook) and outfielder
Brittney Bonser (Kunkletown, Pa./Pleasent Valley).
