ALLENTOWN, Pa.—The Cedar Crest College Tennis team opened their 2016 season with a 9-0 win against conference foe, Rosemont College in Colonial State Athletic Conference play on Thursday, September 1.
Leading things off for the black and gold,
Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and
Alyssa Esparo finished first securing the first win of the day after not dropping a game to their opponents, 8-0.
Yamari Salvador Rivera and
Victoria Vedage () paired up at the number 3 double spot and followed suit of their teammates finishing with an identical score.
For singles play, Senior
Jamie Wojciechowki dropped one game to her opponent and was able to secure another point for the Falcons
. Litonjua,
Espero and
Salvador Rivera all ended their matches with double bagels to add to the lead for the Black and Gold.
The Falcons will take the court again tomorrow, Friday, September 2 as they host Penn State Brandywine with a 3:30 p.m. start time.
