Tennis Falls to Marywood in CSAC Action

SCRANTON, Pa - The Cedar Crest College Tennis team fell 9-0 to Marywood College in Colonial State Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, September 13.

Starting at the number 1 double spot Jamie Wojciechowski (Archbald, PA/Valley View) and Taylor Doran (Petaluma, CA/Casa Grande) played hard against their opponents, but fell 8-6. Also in doubles play, Kristina Litonjua (Easton, Pa./Easton Area High School) and Alyssa Epsaro (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) dropped fell in the number two spot to their opponents 8-1. Yamari Salvador Rivera and Victoria Vedage () paired up at the number 3 double spot and were defeated 8-0.

For singles play, senior Wojciechowki fell by scores of 5-7,1-6 to her opponent in first singles. Despite best efforts the team Litonjua (0-6,2-6), Epsaro (1-6, 0-6), Vedage (1-6, 2-6), Doran (1-6, 0-6), and Salvador Rivera (0-6, 1-6) all ended their matches in defeat.

The Falcons will take the court again on Friday, September 16 as they host Cabrini with a 4:00 p.m. start time in another Colonial States Athletic Conference match-up.
