Box Score JERSEY CITY, N.J.--- The Cedar Crest College soccer team dropped a non-conference match-up at New Jersey City University, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons had their first shot in the 17
th minute by junior midfielder
Tara Irvin (Chalfont, Pa. /Central Bucks) that was saved by the Gothic Knights goalkeeper. Â The next two shots were by senior midfielder
Allison Rittle (Fredericksburg, PA/Northern Lebanon) who hit her both shots just wide right of the goal. The Black and Yellow looked to capitalize on a corner kick but came up empty. The final shot of the half was by junior midfielder
Kelsey Snavely (Lititz, PA/Warwick) but the goalkeeper made the stop to keep the Falcons scoreless heading into halftime.
In the second half the Falcons looked to score their first goal of the match when junior back
Caitlyn Mann (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) took a shot on a free kick after an NJCU foul but the keeper was in the right place at the right time again.
Irvin hit the next two shots for Cedar Crest the first in the 75
th minute that was wide and again in the 78
th minute that was saved as the team fell by a final score of 3-0.

Cara Montanye (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush Central ) made nine saves for the Falcons.
The next match for Cedar Crest is on Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. as they travel to non-conference Sweet Briar College.
