Falcons Drop Match Against Immaculata

Box Score CENTER VALLEY, Pa.---The Cedar Crest College lacrosse team fell to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Immaculata University 14-2 on Saturday afternoon on the campus of DeSales University.

Senior midfielder Regina Gill (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley ) forced a turnover allowing her to pick up the groundball and take it straight to goal to earn her 10th goal of the season. Senior midfield Lauren Felix (Allentown, Pa./Saucon Valley) looked to cut the lead but had her shot saved. Gill earned the draw control and moved down the field, drawing a foul she had her next opportunity to score but missed just wide to head to halftime trailing 12-1.

Gill had the first shot of the second half after winning the draw control that hit the post. Felix tried her luck again but her shot her was blocked. Sophomore attack Shelby Szoke (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood ) took her first shot with just under 18 minutes left to play with the goalkeeper making the stop. Freshman attack Theresa Neumann (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neill) took a free position shot that sailed wide, where sophomore attack Alexandra Zoda (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. /Roy C Ketcham Senior ) picked up the wide shot and took it to goal for her second goal of the season. Neumann had a second attempt with a free position shot, this time it was saved. Junior goalkeeper Kristen Payes (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood ) made 10 saves on the day.

The next game for the Falcons is on Wednesday, April 5 at 4:00 p.m. against Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Marywood University.
