ASTON, Pa.---The Colonial States Athletic Conference has release the 2017 spring sports All-Conference Teams. Softball had six players named to an all-conference team, the most they have earned in a season while the lacrosse team earned one.
Sophomore
Aimee Sarboukh (Somerset, N.J./Bound Brook) was selected to the CSAC All-Conference First Team as a utility player.
Sarboukh as of late has split her time behind the plate of in the designated player position, while also playing third, right field and first base this season. Heading into playoff week
Sarboukh is hitting .412 with a .474 slugging percentage and a .441 on-base percentage while leading the team with 12 stolen bases.
Garnering All-Conference Second Team honors was freshman second baseman
Courtney Constable (East Bangor, PA/Bangor Area), junior shortstop
Kaylee Martinez (Hemet, CA/West Valley), and junior designated player
Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City).
Constable is hitting .347, .465 slugging percentage, and a .400 on-base percentage while being firm in the field with a .952 fielding percentage. Martinez has a .447 average, .746 slugging percentage, .488 on-base percentage. She is second on the team in doubles and tied for first for home runs while having a .953 fielding percentage.
Schnaubelt joins them on the All-Conference Second Team for her time in the designated player position, leading the team with a .471 average, 57 hits, 17 doubles and 50 RBIs. Sophomore pitcher
Laura Rau (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) earned a place on the CSAC Honorable Mention Team this season, she is currently 12-3 on the year with 92.1 innings pitched, 58 strikeouts. Sophomore outfielder
Brittney Bonser (Kunkletown, Pa./Pleasent Valley) and freshman attackÂ
Lauren Malik (Palmerton, Pa./Palmerton Area) picked up the All-Sportsmanship award respectively for their teams.
The softball team is gearing up for Wednesday, May 3 as they travel to Cabrini University for the first round of the CSAC tournament.
