4/12/2018 9:07:00 AM

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Doylestown, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest College softball squad split their daytime double-header with the Aggies from Delaware Valley University Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons, now 12-9 on the year, dropped game one to the Aggies 6-0 and then defeated Del Val 4-1 in game two.

Cedar Crest would be held scoreless in game one. Only three Falcons record four hits, junior left fielder Aimee Sarboukh (Somerset, N.J./Bound Brook) went 2-for-3. Senior catcher Molly Schnaubelt (San Diego, CA/University City) and freshman third baseman Danielle Krispin (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) each had a base-knock, with Schnaubelt going 1-for-2 and Krispin 1-for-2. Del Val would take the first game 6-0.

Starting in the circle in game one was sophomore Kendra Pekurny (Kunkletown, PA/Palmerton Area), who pitched 6.0 innings, allowed nine hits and all six runs. That outing puts her at 4-2 on the year.

Game two started out with a Schnaubelt double to center field to put the Falcons on the board, 1-0. Sophomore third baseman Dallas Horning (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) singled down the right field line to score the Black and Yellow's second run of the game in the top of the 3rd. That run game Cedar Crest a 2-0 lead. The Aggies would cut the lead in half in the bottom of the 4th, but the Falcons would get two insurance runs in the top of the 7th inning. Krispin singled to center, allowing freshman left fielder Ashley Heller (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) to cross the plate. Horning would plate her second RBI of the game on a groundout to push the lead to 4-1 and Cedar Crest would hold on for the win.

In circle in game two was sophomore Breanna Young (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area), who pitched a complete game of 7.0 innings, allowed seven hits and gave up the lone Del Val run. Young earned the win in the decision and put her season record at 6-5.

The Falcons are on the road this weekend, heading to Immaculata University on Friday to take on the Mighty Macs. First pitch set for 3:00 PM.
