Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. --- The Cedar Crest Lacrosse team suffered a loss to Bryn Mawr College, 2-19 on Applebee Field on Wednesday afternoon, putting their record at 0-3 on the year.
The two Falcons that scored netted their first collegiate goals of their careers. Freshman
Elizabeth Fennimore (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) scored off a free-position shot with just under seven minutes remaining in the first half. Then, freshman
Sydney Heathcott (Newburgh, Ind./Castle High) got her free-position shot past the Bryn Mawr keeper five minutes into the second half for the Falcons second and final goal of the game.
Starting in goal was sophomore
Allison Churchill (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford), who made three saves on the 21 shots faced in the 56+ minutes played. Also seeing time in goal was freshman
Elysia Slatery (Melbourne, Fl./Eau Gallie), she allowed a goal on one shot faced in the 3+ minutes of action.
Churchill ends up with the loss in the decision, putting her season record at 0-3.
Cedar Crest picked up 15 ground balls and took two shots on goal, each resulting in goals. The Falcons also had six clears and six draw controls to end the game.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday, March 23 when they open Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play versus Bryn Athyn College. The game is slated for 1:00 PM on the FalconPlex.
