Box Score 3 CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. --- The second-seeded Cedar Crest College Softball program's season comes to an end in the 2019 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Softball Championship on Saturday afternoon. After falling to the top-seed and host Wilson College in the morning, the Falcons then defeated the fourth-seed Centenary University, 8-0 before suffering a second loss to the Phoenix in the CSAC Championship game. The Falcons conclude the 2019 campaign as the CSAC Runner Up with a 19-24 overall

The Falcons would begin the day against the Wilson, holding onto a 3-0 lead through three innings, continuing the game that was postponed due to weather last night. Cedar Crest would add one more run in the top of the fifth inning to push the lead to 4-0, before the Phoenix would score four unanswered runs to tie the game at 4-4. This game would require an extra inning of play, where Wilson would have a walk-off single to get past the Falcons, 4-5.

Dallas Horning (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), Delaney VanBuskirk (Bridgeville, Del./Woodbridge) and
Patricia Dalton (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area) each record two-hit games, with
Dalton hitting a double, drove in a run and scored one of her own and
Horning scoring a run.
Brittney Bonser's (Kunkletown, Pa./Pleasant Valley) lone hit in the contest was a triple that scored two RBIs while both
Aimee Sarboukh (South Bound Brook, N.J./Bound Brook) and
Ashley Heller (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) each reached base safely and score a run.

Starting in the game was
Kendra Pekurny (Kunkletown, PA/Palmerton Area), who threw for 4.2 innings, allowing four earned runs on six hits, facing 21 batters before
Breanna Young (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) entered the game.
Young pitched 2.1 innings, allowing one run on three hits against 11 batters, then
Skyler Bilous (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) was summoned for the final 0.2 innings of the game, giving up just one hit to three batters.
Young received the loss in the decision, putting her record at 7-10.

Cedar Crest did all the scoring in their game versus Centenary, starting by scoring two in the first, three in the second and one more in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead over the Cyclones. The Black and Yellow would tack on the seventh and eighth runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning to claim the 8-0 victory and advance to the CSAC Championship Game to take on Wilson College once again..

Sarboukh would go a perfect 3-for-3 and score two runs as
Riley Tremblay (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), Nicole Santaniello (Kissimmee, Fl./Osceola) and
 Danielle Krispin (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) each turned in multi-hit performances.
Tremblay plated three RBIs with a double and scored twice as
Santaniello and
Krispin each scored a run and drove in a run.
VanBuskirk would drive in two Falcons as well in the win.

Getting the start versus Centenary was Â
Young, would threw for 3.0 scoreless innings and only allowed one hit before
Bilous entered the circle and pitched 3.0 scoreless innings and allowed two Cyclones to reach base.
Young recorded in the victory and improved to 8-10 overall.

Reaching the CSAC Championship Game, the Falcons would get on the board first with a two-run first inning. The Phoenix would cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the third inning, putting the score at 2-1. Wilson scored seven runs in the fifth inning and added another run in the sixth to extend the deficit to 9-2 heading into the final inning. The Falcons would score two runs, but were unable to pull-off the comeback, suffering a 4-9 loss.
Four different Falcons ended the game going 2-for-4:
Tremblay, Dalton, Santaniello and
VanBuskirk.
Santaniello recorded all three RBIs, with the other run that scored was on an error.
Tremblay and
Bonser scored two runs each for the Black and Yellow, with
Bonser and
Sarboukh both recording base-hits in their final game wearing a Cedar Crest uniform.

Bilous got the ball to start the CSAC Championship, throwing for 1.0 inning, and allowed three runs on three hits in the six batters she went up against.
Lillian Boltz (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) entered the game and allowed only one run through three of the four innings pitched, but left the game after giving up four runs on five hits after facing 18 Phoenix.
Pekurny was called into the game and threw for 1.2 innings of work, facing 10 batters, allowing two runs on three hits.
Boltz was dealt the loss in the game, ending the season with a 1-2 record.
