LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Cedar Crest College cross country program took part in the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University on Saturday afternoon at Gloucester County DREAM Park.
The Falcons' first finisher was freshman
Jonquil Loeffelholz (Bellingham, Wash./Sehome), crossing the finish line in 28:12.3. Junior
Lillie Jones (Wilmington, Del./DelCastle Technical) would be the next to complete the course for Cedar Crest, doing so in 28:50.4. The third Falcon-finisher was junior
Emily Kern (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), turning in a time of 29:07.1. Junior
Saige Sterner (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) and freshman
Jess Simins (Phillipsburg, N.J. /Warren Tech) rounded out the top-five for the Falcons, finishing in times of 31:12.4 and 33:45.0, respectively.
Sophomore
Carolyn Weiss (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central), along with juniors
Christina Alberici (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) and
Joslyn Schwieterman (Portland, Me./Deering) closed out the runners for Cedar Crest.
The Falcons have a week off from a meet and will be back in action on Saturday, October 30 for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship Meet hosted by Keystone College at McDade Park in Scranton, Pa. The meet is scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. start.
