SEGUIN, Texas. – Graduate student second baseman, Nicole Santaniello (Kissimmee, Fl./Osceola), and sophomore center fielder, Renee Snyder (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), of the Cedar Crest College softball were both selected to the NCAA Division III Seguin Regional All-Tournament Team.

Santaniello went 4-for-12 (.250) with three RBIs, two runs scored, and two doubles during the tournament. On the defensive side, Santaniello made seven putouts and four assists in the 11 chances she had for a clean slate at second base.

Snyder went 3-for-9 (.333) with two runs scored and drove in a run for the Falcons. In center field, Snyder recorded nine putouts and an assist for a 1.000 fielding percentage.

The Cedar Crest College softball program closes out their historic season, going 21-5 overall, earning the program's first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship and NCAA Tournament wins in school history.

The Falcons lost to the defending National Champions, No. 2 Texas Lutheran University, in Game 1 one the tournament. Then, on the brink of elimination, the Black and Yellow defeated Bridgewater State University (Mass.) 8-5 to win their first NCAA Tournament game in program and school history. The next day, Cedar Crest went head-to-head with Emmanuel College (Mass.) in their second elimination game of the tournament, where the Falcons claimed their second victory of the tournament and advanced to the third and final day at the Seguin Regional. On the last day, Cedar Crest went up against No. 15 Emory & Henry College (Va.), and suffered a 12-0 loss to end their first-ever NCAA Softball Tournament run, going 2-2.
