MEDIA, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College cross country team opened the season with a fourth-place finish in the Bryn Mawr Invitational on Thursday night at Rose Tree Park.
"This is always a tough course," said Head Coach
Alec Duncan, and he continued on to say, "but it's a great meet to get the rust off."
The Falcons finished in fourth out of five schools that participated in the invitational, with the highest finisher being freshman
Jonquil Loeffelholz (Bellingham, Wash./Sehome)Â in 18
th place.
"Jonquil did a great job of staying competitive with the top athletes in the race," Duncan said.
The next Cedar Crest runner to cross the finish line was junior
Emily Kern (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), who placed 37
th.

The next meet for the Falcons will be on Saturday, September 11 when they travel to Lebanon Valley College for the Dutchman Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m.
