NEWVILLE, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College cross country team took part in the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational, which was held at Big Spring High School on Saturday morning.
The Falcons placed 17
th in the meet, with freshman
Jonquil Loeffelholz (Bellingham, Wash./Sehome) crossing the finish line first for the Black and Yellow, in 49
th in a time of 26:23. The next Cedar Crest runner was junior
Emily Kern (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area), who finished in 29:28, while sophomore
Lillie Jones (Wilmington, Del./DelCastle Technical) completed the course in 30:44. Freshman
Jessica Simins (Phillipsburg, N.J./West Morris Central) crossed the finish line in 32:51. Sophomore
Carolyn Weiss (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) followed Simins with a time of 33:27. Junior
Christina Alberici (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) rounded out the Falcons squad, finishing in 38:40.
Cedar Crest will enjoy a week off from a meet and will be back in action on Saturday, October 9 at the DeSales Invitational.
