ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Two members of the Cedar Crest College softball team were recognized by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) on Monday as the league announced its weekly honors.
Freshman
BB Aquila (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) was named CSAC Pitcher of the Week while graduate student
Riley Tremblay (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) was selected as the CSAC Player of the Week. The duo helped lead the Falcons to a 3-1 record last week.
Aquila went 1-1 with eight strikeouts inside the circle. She picked up a 16-7 win in 6.0 innings of work against Notre Dame of Maryland University while striking out a season-high six. She also fanned a pair of batters at Wilson while walking just two on the week.
Tremblay batted 7-for-14 in four games last week, including seven RBI in conference play. Against the Gators, she went 5-for-8 with five RBI and had a walk-off single in game one.
Cedar Crest (10-9 overall, 5-3 CSAC) will next host Marywood University on Thursday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m.
