Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cedar Crest College tennis team picked up a 6-3 victory over Clarks Summit University on Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Cedar Crest (6-4 overall, 4-0 CSAC) earned a pair of points in doubles play before sealing the win by taking four of six singles matches. The Falcons won at the top two doubles spots and secured points at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 singles.

Senior Maya Narasimhan (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and sophomore Katherine Franzone () won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Junior Sasha Singh (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) and sophomore Lily Spagnola (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) teamed up for an 8-2 triumph at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore Sam Henson (Waterbury, Conn./W.F. Keynor Technical) and freshman Brittany Schultz (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty ) were edged out, 9-7, in third doubles.

Heading into singles play, Spagnola cruised to an 8-0 win at the No. 4 spot. Henson captured an 8-0 win at No. 5. Narasimhan followed with an 8-2 victory at the top singles position.

The Lady Defenders picked up its second and third points of the afternoon as sophomore Kseya Larsen-Sorterup (Damariscotta, Maine) defeated Singh in an 8-3 match.  Schultz fell at the No. 6 spot in an 8-2 final to give Clarks Summit its third and final point.

Franzone earned Cedar Crest's final singles point with an 8-4 victory over sophomore Melanie Stabler (Lockport, N.Y.) at the No. 2 slot.

Cedar Crest will return to the court tomorrow, Wednesday, April 20 at home against Notre Dame of Maryland University. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
